_ Install&Setup

Step.1

Install Git Daemon modules.

# yum install git git-daemon git-all

Step.2

Edit xinetd configuration for git

# vi /etc/xinetd.d/git

(Before)

       disable         = yes

(After)

       disable         = no

Step.3

Reboot xinetd

# /etc/inet.d/xinetd restart

Step.4

Initiate git repository

# mkdir <Repository Directory>
# cd <Repository Directory>
# git init --bare

(Example)

# mkdir test.git
# cd test.git
# git init --bare
